Hi !

Im a big guy for gymnastics - i was 200lbs some time ago and im also 190 cm. Now i weigh 210 lbs due to not so good heating habits.

My legs are also big which i kinda dont like - But theres not much that i can do there right ?

Well im following a Killroy template now and i would like to know if some kind of HIIT after my workout will help me to lose weight ( not strength and muscle gains )  ?

And will my gymnastic abilities increase when im lower Bodyweight ?

Any ideas on this?

I am not an avid proponent of HIIT for the purpose of fat loss, but I think it could work, albeit it might also interfere with your strength gains.

I am by no means a specialist, but here is what I am doing that seems to be working well for me (after cleaning up my diet):

(1) long fasted walks and slow runs in the morning with my dog - every morning for 45 to 90 minutes - My physio cleared me for KB swings, so I'll do that too; and my Achilles is a tad better, so I'll also introduce stair climbs (I live on the 25th floor, 3x up and down the stairs takes 20 min and will shed fat presto!)

(2) maintain a calorie deficit as measured by slow and steady weight loss, and

(3) monthly caliper measure of body fat to verify that it is mostly fat that is shed and not muscle.

(4) follow Joshah Naterman's perfect periworkout nutrition whenever I train strength. (which I only resumed this week after shoulder surgery)

(5) sleep a lot.

I have about the same mensurations as you do & I've been losing 2.5Kg per month for the past few months (70-75% of it is fat by my measures).
