golfwolf
Specifically what portion of your chest? I don't know if there's a correlation or not, but the angle between your spine and arms seems to be the same when doing a planche as it is when doing a decline bench press. Does that mean a Planche may larget your lower pecs more than your upper pecs?
John Sapinoso
What does a planche push up work?Simple answer is: everything.
braindx
It works all of the chest.edit: ts00nami said before me, lol.edit2: Clavicular head of the pec & "upper chest" is worked in all shoulder FLEXION exercises (planche is resisted flexion of the shoulder & pushups require flexion as well). And of course, "lower pec" is worked in the pressing motion as well as scapular protraction. So it's everything.
Hivoyer
Mostly the front deltoids, but to keep the arms stable and straight the chest, forearm and back muscles tense really hard and also the biceps contracts so the elbow won't bend backwards O.O .If you're doing a full planche then it also works the lower back, glutes and obliques a lot.It also trains the triceps, but only to 90 degrees, because lower than that you hit your chin to the ground.
