Hey guys when i get into a freestanding HS, when i start leaning forward to much, i cant stop myself so i have to walk it out. And i want to hold a stationary without having to walk to stop me from falling forward. How do i stop this? Placement of hands or anything? My hands are shoulder width.

Could be a few things. Why not post a video in "Digital Coaching"?

In general you want to learn to balance from your wrists, so when you start to feel the balance moving back you press with your fingers to push your weight forward. Of course the requires keeping a tight hollow body.

Sounds like you are naturally leaning your weight forward too much.

Think about it this way, when you stand you don't lean forward past the toes, correct? You stand on your heels with your weight leaning only slightly to your toes

Same in a handstand. Keep finger pressure when need be, but the weight should still be on your palms

Thanks guys, but yuri, when you said have the weight on your palms, now i have trouble getting up in the handstand now. Not kicking up, just keeping my legs up. Other then that i guess i need more practice. How long does it usually take one to achieve a solid 15 second handstand?

I don't know how you practice, but I think you should spend more time close to the wall just holding your handstand, and if you're doing good, practice your kick-ups facing the wall trying not to touch it and go straight into a handstand. If you underkick, try again, if you over kick, push back on the wall and try again. Doing that and practicing with some wall assistance for a longer time should help you.
