Tavis G
Hey guys, there was a man called chuck sipes who was a "powerbuilder"and he used a method called 1 to 10 to 1 with dips and pullups. It is meant to build mass and strength. It is do 1 dip rest 10 seconds 2 dips.etc then continue till 10 then back to 1. Does anyone know if this is effective? I mean it worked for chuck, he was a strong man.
Ian Myers
Building mass is much more related to your diet in combination with exercise, not just the exercise. Low rest higher rep things such as this combined with a high calorie diet will certainly produce gains in size, but not as much strength. At least this is my understanding maybe someone else on here can give a more precise answer
Rik de Kort
That's what we call a pyramid. It's basically a way of accumulating a lot of volume in the exercise you're doing. So, yes, it may help mass gains and it sure gives you some practice with the movement, making you better at it.
