How to manage deloading periods?

Well, maybe it's a little obvious, but i'd like to know how do you usually manage deloading periods..

How often do you do them, and what do you do in them, do you rest totally? do you make mobility, stretching o others? how long do you make them??

Every 3 or 4 or 8 weeks, you can cut volume by 1/2 during that week. I think Coach Sommer once stated that he did this for his gymnasts every 4 weeks.

3-4 weeks here. Volume will be cut 50-70% for 3-7days depending on the athlete. Competition specific prep will alter this cycle of course.

And just to make sure, you do not need a deloading phase if you're follow either

1) Coach's WOD or

2) A SSC.

The deloading phase is already inside of them.
