Hi guys,

These are my new grips, I've never had them before and neither do I have a coach to tell me or not,

but are these the right size?

They are the Reisport 506, Size 4.

Thanks!!

if you will look here:

http://www.gymsupply.com/reisportelitep ... dloop.aspx

(these are the best grips ever)

the swiss cup grips are good too

measure from base of palm to tip of the longest finger

00 - Up to 6"

0 - 6" - 6 ½ "

1 - 6 ½" - 7 "

2 - 7" - 7 ½"

3 - 7½" - 8"

4 - 8" and up

if you want it in cm and not inches

multiply it by 2.54

also on how to break in a new grips:

http://www.gymsupply.com/custompages/newgripsinfo.pdf

also to wear it in the right direction:

on the right hand and when the palm is facing you, the hook needs to be on the left side

and on the left hand, when the palm is facing you, the hook needs to be on the right side

also i would recomment to use magnesium in addition to grips:

i recommend the grippy:

http://www.gymnasticexpress.co.uk/gripp ... -1241.html

it's 8 blocks of pure magnesium carbonate

you put it in a bowl or something, you crash it, and put some on the hand, then you put the grips, and put magnesium on the too, use half a block at a time

also hwne you wear the grips , before that , you need to put some cotton wristband(double layer is best),

so that the grips leather won't scratch your wrist

do some swings with it for a month or two, and it will be softer on the hands , and a lot more comfortable

anyway , best of luck with it, have a great training
