Now, don't get me wrong. Liek almost every other male on here i would like a physique like Encho. I also very much respect everything he does. I have heard he used to be a ring specialist which is why he looks the way he does. However, i find myself respecting equilibrist's such as

this then i do Encho. I have alos heard that Encho did not get big muscles until AFTER he started doing Equilibre. I find this hard to believe, but if it is true, why are there a lot of equilibrists as skinny as the guy in the video?

I heard as well somewhere he was on rings before doing balancing. Noone looks like that just from handstands. Remember, that is a very big part of his image so he probably does what he needs to do to stay huge. He lifts a lot of weights i think i hear in an interview or something. However you do need muscle to do serious handbalancing, but it depends so much on your body weight, flexibility and what you work on. Naturally those who do a lot of flags and planches tend to get more beefy, but for example childeren or people who have grown up with doing it does not need to build that much mass since their technique and neuromuscular efficiency in the positions has been trained when they were young. Also body type has a lot to do with it. In my school we are 4 who do high level hhandstands and our bodies are very different though we can do roughly the same stuff. I have a much bigger frame than those guys so naturally i need to build more muscle do the same work.

Encho is good, no doubt, but he is far from the level of the ukraine guys or the chinese. Florian in the other clip is good as well, he has a much more contemporayr circus approach to his work(though that performance is from a show calles soap where they change artists but not acts) look for his chair act which is pretty cool. As for pure skill see artur. Insanely difficult act spinning on the floor all the time and finishing after 3 min on the arms with a 1 arm kick up from elbow lever to flag. Nuts

I know this is the case for me, but I feel like Encho is very easy to relate to for those without much exposure to circus acts.

People see a massively ripped guy doing things that they wish they could do, it is very stirring. Modern acts which have a lot of dance sequences and are "more artistic" so they relate to a different personality type.

I know that Encho was a big inspiration in my early days of handbalancing, but now after training with Andrey Moraru I appreciate the character acts a lot more compared to classical acts.

What I would love to see more of is these guys goofing around, as you know they can do things way harder than what's in their act.

Thank you Handbalancer and Yuri! I was looking for new people to look at and must have been typing the wrong things into youtube, but the names you gave were very helpful. I was quite honestly getting sick of encho. I do like his physique and want one like that myself, but would rather become proficient in hand balancing (and of course gymnastics but Hand balancing is my major thing
