Zephyrus
has anyone encountered what i dub dead arm syndrom? I have been training with a steaady state cycle for about 17weeks and just this week while doing my static hold(front lever to be exact) my right hand just loses all power within a few seconds which you can guess causes me to veer left; its the strangest feeling as if all the power were sucked out and i cant exert the same power in my grip. Has anyone encountered this and if so do you have any strecthing or tips in general to relate. Most appreciated.
Cole Dano
17 weeks is a long SSC. It could be either fatigue, and you need to back your training load off to recover, or it could be some sort of nerve entrapment. For that the wrist and elbow routine stickied on the joint forum is very helpful as well as some form of massage, manual therapy.
Zephyrus
Thanks for advice; the 17 weeks is just the amount of time on the GB program, i used to be on a 5 day a week schedule but for the past two weeks its been taken down to MWTHF, so its most likely overtraining.
