I've started to make a list of FBE's or any exercise that aggravates my shoulder, and plan on eliminating them until it's completely back to normal. It's frustrating, but I had to do the same thing when I injured my collarbone about a year ago.
Interesting discovery, during my job my shoulder was feeling kind of loose (its default position now :x ) so for whatever reason I jammed a couple fingers into one of the more painful areas (at that time I think it was the anterior deltoid, or something close to it) and started doing the motion that hurt (pushing out with a neutral shoulder). To no surprise, it still kind of clicked, but there was less pain and it felt more stable. I did this a few more times and then tried it without my fingers jamming in it, and it didn't hurt as much. This was about four hours ago, and it's starting to come back a bit, but for the first time in several months, I was able to actually reach out, pick something up and bring my arm back without wincing or really internally/externally rotating my shoulder.
It's a pretty sad accomplishment, but at this point, I'll take whatever I can get. Still planning on going to physio, but this really interested me. Is this trigger point therapy, did I sort of spark a muscle that hadn't been activating? Because I swear that I've read about this stuff before.
