question about strength progression

i don't know if this is the rigth forum but i think it is concerned with the basic information!

i've read in the BG book, that to increase the strength you can use a pyramid of 5,3,1 reps in 3 sets. starting from the easiest to the hardest movements. for some exercise like the hs pushup o pull up i think i have to increase the weigth from set to set or not?

but what is the % that i have to use from one set ot the other?

for example my 1RM for hs pushup is my weigth + 22 lbs, so if i do one rep, in the next set i have to do 3 reps, how much weigth i have to take off from the previous set?? 15%, 10%, 8%??

and this type of training can be applied to everymuscle?!

You don't need to know a %. Just take off the amount that allows you to perform the exercise with good form for the prescribed reps. Experimentation will tell you what that amount is.

i use this method...i found that take of the 30% each set is the best thing...thank you man
