Alessandro Mainente
i don't know if this is the rigth forum but i think it is concerned with the basic information!i've read in the BG book, that to increase the strength you can use a pyramid of 5,3,1 reps in 3 sets. starting from the easiest to the hardest movements. for some exercise like the hs pushup o pull up i think i have to increase the weigth from set to set or not?but what is the % that i have to use from one set ot the other?for example my 1RM for hs pushup is my weigth + 22 lbs, so if i do one rep, in the next set i have to do 3 reps, how much weigth i have to take off from the previous set?? 15%, 10%, 8%??and this type of training can be applied to everymuscle?!thanks for the reply
RatioFitness
You don't need to know a %. Just take off the amount that allows you to perform the exercise with good form for the prescribed reps. Experimentation will tell you what that amount is.
