Poethics
Hi!Last year I did the WODs on/off. I took a break from working out at the end of the year. This year, I did some olympic lifting and 1½ months ago me and two friends started doing Stronglifts 5x5 (http://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5- ... g-program/) to get our basic strength up from beginner levels.I've started running and in a few months, when my conditioning has improved, I'll start sprinting and eventually switch to a sprinting focused strength routine (http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_art ... t_body_fat)So right now my goals are gaining max strength through weightlifting and conditioning with running and sprints.Lately I've missed the stabilizing strength I gained from the WODs and would like to incorporate them into my strength routines.Would it suffice to simply start doing the FSPs before my workout? Would it be OK to do them on my off days when I usually do some strength and mobility routines or would that hinder recovery from 5x5 training? My recovery right now is good. Feeling really fresh on off days.Any advice and/or ideas are welcome!EDIT: I have gymnastic rings at home, but my friend (where we work out) doesn't have any place to place them so I was thinking maybe static strength in the morning of Stronglift days. That way I would have half a day to recover before the strength workouts.
Blairbob
It's a decent idea. Doing the FSP warmups and FSP could train a lot of core strength without really taxing your other workouts.
