German hang pull/skin the cat progressions

Hi Ian, the skin the cat i a combination of shoulder mobility (extension) plus shoulder extension strenght for the first part down to the germa hang position) and shoulder flexion stre ght in order to reverse the movement. a basic strenght on pushing and pulling  (both bent arm and straight arm srenght). then once a basic foundations is achieved then specific movement can be trained with many strategies: partially rom, partial leverage, mechanical avantage lever variations and so on.

in the private section of the the GB forum dedicated to GB course we can dicuss deeper the exercise.

keep in mind: it is not a basic exercise no matter the vast amount of stupid personal trainer saying the opposite on the web. in italy the vast majority of fistal bicep tendon injrues comes from the assumption that back lever is easy to be done more than front lever for example (i'll not consider that on the average the techinque of the fitness enthusiast is very very very poor).

What I have been doing is working on dragon flag negatives with straight arms holding on a cabinet to hopefully build the strength for it.
