Straddle Sit and lean - pancake

Hi,

 

I have been working on straddle sit and pancake for two years.

Yes I am getting better but I have a question.

When somebody helps me I almost have my chest to floor (passive stretch), but when I am on my own (active) I am higher because I feel my quads and hip flexor are active and lock my movement to go to floor.

Any Ideas how do I overcome this issue? (note that I always do hip flexor and quads stretch)

Hi Alaa, 

Great question! It is amazing what happens when you have a partner to help you! 

Are you following the middle splits stretch course? There is a floating pancake in there that will help you make that active gain, chest to the floor.

This is normal because active strength is much less than passive. in your case is too less.
