hello everyone, i read an article somewhere by coach sommer saying that he has his athletes performing 10-15 different types of dips. im would love to know some of these variations to add to my routine so if someone could type out a small list of these dips with a small description that would be great. thanks in advance

here's a few that I do/have done/ have seen done/ can think of being done:

on p-bars:

elbows in

elbows out

behind the back on a single bar hands forward

behind the back on a single bar hands backward

in the front on a single bar hands forward

in the front on a single bar hands backward

dip-swing handstand

dip-swing hop handstand

dip-swing to one bar english handstand

dip-swing hop to one bar english handstand

on an inclined p-bar set:

dip hops across

on rings:

regular

bulgarian

dip swing handstands

with legs supported and single arm:

behind the back on a single bar hand forward

behind the back on a single bar hand backward

in the front on a single bar hand forward

in the front on a single bar hand backward

I think on Crossfit Coach Sommer wrote in the forum a dip/support progression for rings it went something a little like this:

1) support on rings, arms can rest on lats

2)dips, hands facing inwards (towards body)(I'm not sure if this was second or third)

3) start working on hands (palms) facing forward support, arms may still rest on lats

4) palms facing forward support, arms off body

5) dips with palms facing forward

There's a good place to start on rings. Hopefully Coach Sommer could rewrite the post on here
