Shoulder position for pushups

Recommended Posts

I know at least at the top you want full protraction.  Do you retract at all or do you maintain protraction all the way through?

Great question. The scapula should be retracted at the bottom of your push ups.

Protract and depress and the top, during the descent part let the scapulae to be depressed and to reach their natural position. I would not force completely the retraction.
