1-2inch question

After a lot of reading in the forums, i have a quick question.

From what ive read if with my stomache to wall handstand i cannot get my hands 1-2 inches from the wall I should not be training free standing handstands.

is this correct?

or would i still be getting a benefit from freestanding handstands? (which i can hold, with a slight arch for 30secs).

Wall handstands are all about improving your technique. You can still do free-standing HS, but you should gain more flexibility in your shoulders.
