EHILL
What do you guys recommend for time on static hold progression before moving on to the next progression?Does this quote sound correct? With the static holds your goal is doing a minute of total work on each hold. Since you obviously cant just hold a front lever for 1 minute straight, theirs progressions. Start with 20 sets of 3 second holds. After a few weeks, move onto 15 sets of 4 second holds, 12 sets of 5, 10 sets of 6, 8 sets of 8, 6 sets of 10, etc etc, seeing a pattern here??Does this pattern work on all static progression like planches, BL, Handstands?Thx... Joshua Naterman
Handstands will progress a lot faster than the others. In all cases, make sure your work sets are only half of your max. Example: You can hold tuck planche for 9 seconds. Work sets should be 4-5 seconds. 15 sets of 4 seconds, 12 sets of 5. That does go for everything, including handstands. But the handstands should be done for 4-7 sets of half your max, if possible. You should build up to 20+second wall handstand work sets in less than three months unless you're pretty weak.
