Scheduling with recovery in mind

Just finished fundamentals course and purchased FOUNDATIONS and (3 part) STRETCH SERIES. Very excited about progressing, but stuck before starting when setting up online schedule. I'm a soccer player (age 37) and play once a week, but play at an intensity that my legs are shot for at least 2 or 3 days after. I dont understand the layout/intensity of the GST programs and am wondering what is the ideal layout/schedule so as not to set me up for an injury (had several muscle/tendon tears and strains from training/playing while still sore)

Probably your body structure it is not already strong to stay free of injury, i think that GST will decrease the rate of injuries for sure. in your situation you should adjust the GST especially the legs program so that you have fully recovered from the soccer session and that you will recover before the following session. the rest has no problem in therms of schedule since the upper body is not trained in soccer. consider to dedicate at least a session for the front split series, very very very useful to fix the imbalances typical of soccer player.
