Rotational core work?

I've been thinking that most people should just set up a bucket and work bucket circles for rotational core work. Of course they could be doing lying down leg wipers or russian twists as well. Hanging Leg wipers and Front Lever circle pulls aren't really basic.

Thoughts? I was thinking on this as I was working forearm circles after muscle-up negatives last night.
