right shoulder clicks while doing pull ups

It's been about 1 month that i've been having a clicking sound in my right shoulder while doing pullups(during the eccentric part) and shoulder dislocates..

It may be because I rushed while doing shoulder dislocates..but I don't know exactly what causes this..

I took some rest from pullups and the clicking sound was gone.

After some weeks, while doing the pullups my right shoulder again clicks..

Any help please.... :(

For me, a clicking is never OK but a sign that something doesn't work smoothly-  if you don't have pain, you could  have it later. The clicking takes place at which angle? Does it equally click with neutral grip pulls (i.e. between pullup and chinup) and chinups? The biceps tendon often causes a click.

It happens when I do pull ups, but not in chin ups, and also when I flex my biceps and try to lift my elbow upwards..

Will going to a physiotherapist be necessary???

I have some shoulder clicking with curls if I turn too much into hammer grip. From discussion with my  sport medicine specialist: The biceps tendon doesn't run perfectly, it's harmless but should be avoided. So I turn into biceps curl until it doesn't click anymore. But not further, it's a very good idea to train brachialis the most possible as you see from all the biceps tendon (in the elbow) problem threads here around. So I propose to try neutral grip pull-ups, or better find some handles where you can vary the angle even better.

I did notice recently that the day after a short, but intense, training session my brachiali were very sore, and my shoulders stopped clicking in the front.

i see a lot of people saying if it doesnt hurt it is fine but several of my friends have had clicking or snapping sounds come from various parts of their bodies and thought nothing of it and now have issues.   one friend was his shoulders and although it was fine at first over time it has caused his shoulder to have a lot of issues.  another friend had knees that clicked when squatting at a certain point.  turns out he now has cartilage damage and needs to be really careful and do some rehab to prevent meniscus problems.   just because clicking or snapping doesnt cause pain it could mean you are moving in a dysfunctional way and maybe you should look into the weakness around the joint.  for me my should clicked sometimes, as soon as i started working religiously on external rotation and scapular retraction the clicking stopped and i instantly became stronger in a lot of movements like over head pressing and pull ups.

my 2 cents.

There are a few structures in the shoulder that can click. For me it's that the right head of the humerus (upper arm bone) and glenoid fossa ( the socket the numeral head sits in) don't match perfectly.

Lots of external rotation work, as ausswe mentions, might help. I can turn my clicking on and off by "thinking" my rotator cuff off and on.
