Mouclier Victor
For example : doing a max front pulls then a max pull ups without letting the rings Would this type of training be great to improve both of these exercises ? or the second ex. will lack progress because of the fatigue accumulated in the first one ? Hope my question is clear, thanks in advance !
Alexander Egebak
Supersets are good for endurance strength and cardio, conditioning and warm up exercises. Doing them with more maximal-strength related exercises will likely prevent you from expressing your full potential in those exercises. Simply, they will burn you down before you get a good work out. If you take rest time sometimes, you would need a lot of carbs and your work out would be hours long depending on your volume of course.
Jon Douglas
Supersets are good for endurance strength and cardio, conditioning and warm up exercises.nbsp;This.They are certainly very useful, particularly when they are structured as blended sets as Coach described back in BtGB-- structured from most difficult to least difficult without, for eg, coming down from the rings. There was also a neat little superset mentioned in the Chinese pullups forum essay- strict pullups, followed by Chinese (kipping) pullups, followed by tap swings. Naturally this is not going to support you building max strength in pulling movements, but goes a long way to rapidly building work capacity and grip.Best used after a reasonable level of basic strength is achieved, but also very useful, as Alessandro described using a controlled negative to get more TUT out of a static hold. Pushups into a plank hold, for a low level example.

Alessandro Mainente
Supersets when we talk about GST or circuit training that is an extended version are useful and safe if you hav a solid foundations. some past WOD fall into endurance work. for unprepared people the first consequence is overuse injuries and joints pain while for prepared people is joints conditioning. the problem is where is your side? prepared or unprepared?
itaman8
I don't understand much about the supersets but I think that supersets are good for warming up before workout and for fun after workout, not for real working and progressing in exercises.
