Aviv Lugtenaar
Hey, I was on msn right now talking to a friend. He is abit sick now, probobly just a cold or something. And we got into the following question: If you are sick can you just go on with strength exercises? Is this just simply listening to your body? braindx
Basically, tough workouts are going to cause microtearing in your muscles. Your body responds with an inflammatory response for healing. Now, your body is also responding to the sickness with inflammatory response. So, if you train too hard then your body is diverting resources from healing your body towards healing muscle damage leading towards possibly exacerbating your infection. Generally, not a good idea.I personally recommend taking off completely from training so you can get back. If you decide to workout it won't be quality work cause you're sick anyway, plus if you do too much then you're just gonna make yourself more sick. Pretty much a lose-lose situation in my opinion.
