Hardy Evans
Kind of intrigued by training these. Is there much of a strength carryover to other GST elements? Also how much harder are they then floor splits? I.e. how much additional training would it take to develop a suspended split once the proper mobility has been reached? Sailor Venus
Using isometric tension in the legs builds strength for the suspended splits. Thats what Thomas Kurz did. I don't know what Van Damme did for his. I've done it myself in the past. Keep doing lots of isometric tensions in the adductors 'til its strong enough to hold your whole bodyweight. May take a few months but worth it.
