Hi

Have anybody experience with carpal/cubital tunnel syndrome?

This will be the 3rd time the symptoms come back and ive been to physiotherapist and ostheopat. I feel tingling in the little finger and i feel like my grip becomes weaker. I read much on the internett about the ulnar nerve and its normal that its get pinched in the elbow.

I dont think its beacuse of to much training. I do Foundatien 4 times a week and HS.one 2. Before i trained almost every and doing things like muscle ups, rope climb and HS.

Have anybody had the same excperience and get rid of it without surgery? i know its one of the most common problem and they fix it with surgery. i dont like to do surgery, but if its necessarily to get rid of it im willing to do that.

Thanks for all the help and tips. Im going to doctor, but last times i went there he gave me just anti inflammation medicin

Have you checked your spine as well, or is it established that is a peripheral nerve being pinched?
I have a friend who had problems with tingling in his fingers and accidentally discovered he had been walking around with a cervical burst fracture for some time.

For peripheral nerves, I have heard you can get a manual therapist to do nerve glides and other techniques, but I don't have any experience with it or knowledge about it.

When do you feel the symptoms? It's generally caused by having your arms closed for a long time which causes the nerve to be pinched as it wraps around the elbow. I've experienced this at night if I sleep with my arms closed. I now sleep with elbow pads that keep my arms straight through the night. Solved it for me. Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night with the symptoms?

Yes before i wake up with tingeling in the hands, but know i sleep with straight arm.i feel the nerve in the elbow going back and forth when i for example do a curling motion with my arm and very often snapping tricep. This symptomps happen over long time(around 1 year) and the numbness come and go but my grip strenght is very weak and i feel all the times especially in little finger. when i do excercises that involve underarm/gripping strenght like rowing excersises i feel like my underarm giving up way before the acutal muscles working.

I solved this very problem for myself with stretching.

From neck-shoulder-arm-wrist and hand.

Used to get snapping tricep and had an ultra sound showing an inflamed nerve at the cubital tunnel

How long did you have it and where the symptomps strong? how long did it take you to go away?

I strech quit alot the neck and chest. when i strech the bicep/elbow sometimes i feel the nerve go back and forth. I dont see any other solution than operation.I read quite alot on the internett and people have great results, but the longer you go with it, the more damaged the nerve will be. This problem has be stopping me working out properly around 1 year now I just want it to go back to normal so i can begin foundation and progress in my training

I was living with it for years...stopped/ended climbing as a sport for me.

Woke every night with numb hands.

Took about 6 months to sort out. Mostly stretching...but a few sessions of good remedial massage got me started.

Stretching has to be done right...doing the stuff most people consider stretching will do nothing...look up Kit Laughlin...attend a workshop if you can...focus on the fine details of the techniques.

In my opinion (and my case) surgery is unnessecary...permanent...a last resort.

Sleep with your arms straight, stretch the muscles...let it heal and inflammation reduce...learn some nerve flossing stretches.

See your GP...get an ultra sound...go see a physio that works with gymnists, circus or/and throwers...be cautious of surgery.
