This is very advanced pressing work. Performed at the right stage in one's development it would indeed build a great deal of scapular strength and stability. However, it should not be undertaken until after achieving very solid two-arm handstands and press handstands.

I dont see much here really. Its fine for some general conditioning but nothing of it is even remotely close to the difficulty of even a normal 1 arm handstand and would be much better off learning to balance a straddle 1 arm for 30+ seconds and learning flag variations.

 

He is all the time sliding on the floor and he does not have to deal with the actual challenge of doing pressing work on 1 arm, which is having all your stabilizers already at full work keeping you in balance, and then moving a load which is off center from your alignment. Once you have a second point stabilising you it is not the same at all, especially if you arent fully on top of your arm.
