Edward Smith
i was wondering what exercises people know for the wristobivously ones that are applicable to gymnastic exercises and skills.i primarily want good wrist strength for my planches because that seems like a limiting factor for me not that i'll shot up to an advanced tuck planche but i think i could get more time out of myself if they were a little stronger also ways to develop a false grip? any suggestions? zennode
For wrist work I have been doing:False grip pull ups on ringshttp://xercisefactor.com/view_video.php ... 0154e9f6deI don't have a video clip of it, but I also do false grip holds on a pull up bar.Another thing that works the wrist and forearms are working on circles on mushroom! Stutz4Life
One thing you could try are wrist push-ups. There are a few variations. One with your hands in a dorsal position with your hands turned inwards. Your elbows will be facing forwards. Another is on your knuckles.Your hand will be in the shape of a fist. As you lower your body for a push-up, you wrists will unravel as you go down. As you push back up your wrist curl back up into a fist. You can also try regular push-ups but when you come up you can either lift onto your knuckles or the tips of your fingers.I would recommend starting with 5 of each type. For extra stretching you can do leans on your wrist. In dorsal, reverse grip, regular grip or upside down.
