Can chronicly overstretching a muscle make the joint hyperextend?I've also heard on some places that straight arm exercises can also cause this.I've never had this problem with the tuck planche and advanced tuck front lever, but when i stretch my hamstrings and when i get up,i feel as if my knees are about to go backwards, its very uncomphortable.

Muscles, no.

If you're beyond stretching muscles to the ligaments which happens with a lot of hypermobility and overflexibility then yeah.

If your knees/elbows/other hinge joints have the natural proclivity to go past 180 degrees then that may be a problem not related to flexibility in the first place. Stronger muscles will help protect against this. Flexibility really doesn't have much to do with it.
