so I have been training for planche for very long time but I haven't improved that much the past few months. My bent arm strength  got incredibly stronger but the straight arm strength has not.

Any critiques, tips on improving straddle planche hold?

Should I go back to the basics and start holding longer tuck planche?

You're loosing protraction. You should learn planche pressing from the ground. It helps you feel the shoulder position more.

I am not strong enough to do a straddle planche press. should I do the tuck planche press?

I'm pretty sure he means learn to do the straddle planche coming off the ground, not pressing to a HS.
