Gaben18
Can ;-sit pull-ups/chin-ups be a good replacement for weighted pulll-ups, and chin-ups? to a certain degree?
Joshua Naterman
They are different. You change the leverage with the L sit versions and this does add difficulty, but will not completely replace weighted pull ups. However, rope climbing is a reasonably good replacement. Quick Start Test Smith
would holding a db in-between my legs be ok untill i get a belt?If adding weight is your aim, Gaben, it seems like any safe and practical way you can do it is OK. Holding a DB between your legs does seem hard though.

Joshua Naterman
I will go ahead and tell you right now that it is a good idea to get a 1.5" thick climbing rope and use it. Just so you know.
Larry Roseman
Regarding the dumbell between the legs, if you wrap the bar portion with a towel it's helps for gripping.Or, you can use the feet to grab it too.
Gavin Strelitz
Good tip I got from this forum. Get an old bicycle tube. Cut it so it's one length. Then wrap it around your feet and tie it into a circle (tightly). Take it off and then thread the weights onto the new loop, insert your feet on either side of the weight and you are away. Gaben18
Rather do the towel dumbbell trick.
