Fluidity
Hello everyone I just want to ask everyone here if they know any active stretches for the wrist. If you can write out an active stretch or post a video in a reply I would really appreciate it. I also want to see what people think of some of my own stretches I thought of for the wrist. The four stretches I thought of are simple they are all straight armed and, palm down for the first two stretches where I bring wrist back and flex it just like you would in a standard push up with hands open and a variation with hands closed. My second set is with palm facing upwards and I flex my wrist up, the position looks like a false grip on a pull up bar, with my hands open and a variation with my hands closed. I also do a powerful contraction in my forearms when doing these stretches. Would anyone consider these type of stretches an "active stretch"? I will post a video to show people later if any clarification is needed.
Blairbob
Sort of. Sounds like stretches frequently done in an Aikido warmup.
Fluidity
Sort of. Sounds like stretches frequently done in an Aikido warmup. Thanks for insight, I usually do these types of stretches using no assistance from gravity or my other hand, do you know any other types of "active" stretches for the wrists? Would going into a push up position on your wrists be considered an active stretch??

Blairbob
Would going into a push up position on your wrists be considered an active stretch?? Sort of. My warmup generally has some pushups in varying hand positions for this purpose. Fingers forward, backward, back of the hand, turned in, and on fists. Then I stretch my wrists.
