Side Planche Tuck Arches And Side Planche Straight Pikes!?!

On side planche, my body naturally wants to arch when doing them tucked and pike when doing them straight. Is this how they should be or am I just a talentless pathetic weakling that needs to train harder and smarter!?!

My straights were much hotter yesterday, must have burned myself out a bit, but at least you'll get an idea of what's happening.

Arching slightly is okay. It helps to create space for the sideways fold. Try to do this for the straight one as well. Piking just makes it harder balance wise and it does not look as good as the piked angle shortens the length of the picture.

You are balancing your tuck well. Work on holding the straight on 2 arms but in perfect position to build strength to be able to keep it.
