Memro91
Right now I can hold a 50 second Advanced frog stand but 0 seconds of tuck planche. After reading BtGB and going through the planche progressions, I figured Id do 3x25s advanced frog stand 4 days a week (mon, tues, thurs, fri) for 8-12 weeks for my SSC to build my planche. But after browsing the forum for some time I realised that many suggested that planche leans are also an important part of the planche progression. So my question is, which one do I choose for my planche FSP? Or should I do 2 days of planche leans and 2 days of Adv frogstand? I can currently hold 24 seconds for planche lean. Kim Jongseong
4 days a week of work means it's too easy for you. You've been doing them as warm up. I suggest you increase the amount of the time adv frog stand and decrease the sets. So make the work cannot be be trained frequently. If you want to improve, you have to choose a hard work for you. A hard work would require a long rest time. L-sit is also essential one of prerequisites. I'd focus on HS, L-sit, PL, Box RLL or Wall HS RLL. Memro91
This is confusing... wouldn't doing excessive volumes be taxing on the tendons? I read that we should only do 50% of our max to allow our tendons to heal. So should I just stick to the adv frogstand and dump planche lean?I'm also working on the L-sit. 5x12s Low L-sit 4 days a week SSC.

Scale up the position to increase your maxium strength. Do this once a week.a 30sec L-sit before starting to train planche.Good luck
Memro91
So if I want to make strength improvements I gotta work more volume? Would you mind giving me an example as to how many sets, days and timing do I have to do my adv frogstand? How about doing FSP of 3x12s planche lean and 2x30s adv frogstand for 2 day a week? Would that be enough? I honestly have got no clue as to how much is too little for strength or how much is too much for the tendons. Thanks!
