Ian Legrow
hey all,I have a question. My forearm was bothering me for a bit i rested it and found out what was wrong, and its better now. When i workout today i am doing a very long warm up through various things i have seen on this forum, joint prehab, and scaling down all the static exersices so i can make haste slowly. I want my tendons to be able to handle the stuff i am going to do and i have a great workout set up, however the onyl question i have is handstand work. Is there a way to ease into the strain it put on your tendons. Slizz posted a video about the Planche lean and it made a whole mess of sense. However, it does not seemt o me that there are any handstand exersices gradually before going into the static hold against the wall. maybe i am worng, if i am could people please inform me what i could do to workup to the HS against the wall
LaughingTiger
What helped me work my way up to handstands against the wall, was using a "box" to support some of of my weight and do knee supported handstands. You can use a chair, sofa, bed, table, etc as your box. You place your knees on the "box" and support the rest of the weight on your hands. You can hold the position for time, do shrugs with your shoulders, do HeSPUs, etc.Now I do a mix of wall handstands and knee supported work, to get a nice amount of volume. This allows me to build strength and endurance without causing me to become too fatigued to work on other things.
