Those are what i think of as well, be careful at first if you aren't used to doing head bridge, and let your hands, arms, elbows help as much as necessary. These will also work your glutes done properly, and that helps with any discomfort in the low back. Think hips are lifting, trying to go hollow, and roll over the head with hand support. Eventually without hand support.

I believe BlairBob said he could do it from standing, i've seen it done before, but never could do it personally.

breakers do limbers from a head bridge sometimes.

I can do backbends from stand but have never tried to my head. Interesting idea though. I can limber out of a headstand back and forth besides going from a front plank to rear plank and back to front. Pretty common wrestler drill.

Honestly, a lot of upper body pressing will build up your neck. Overhead pressing and jerking besides holds. Some of our kids from camp complained about their necks being sore due to the fact of how much support they had to do per day compared to what they are used to (virtually none).
