XIII
Hi, look i dont understand at all how a single bar dip must be perfomed. Two days ago i tried this dip variation and when i was going down i had to move my legs forward because i was loosing the balance, so i was wondering if moving the legs forward was an incorrect technique, waht do you think???.Thanks. Blairbob
In my experience it seems pretty necessary. However, the korean dips are performed with the bar behind the body. I don't remember if there is a single rail dip with the bar in front of the body, it's been a long time since I've read the book and mine is 500mi away at mom's in LA. Yeah, I know; it sucks. It is similar to doing pullups where your legs will also naturally fall under the bar. I hope that helps.
Martin de Jesus Ponce Robaldino
when you do single bar dips is normal that your legs go a little to the front... the only thing you need is to focus on the position of your chest, shoulders, and how much distance is in your grip.... i don't know if i explained it correctly.... hope i did.greetings from Mexico! Blairbob
Try not to lean your body on the bar as you dip. Weaker gymnasts will lean more BW onto the bar making it easier. You barely want to feel the bar on your body as it goes from thighs to ribs.
