sdotcurry30 Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 i read online that i probably can, but then i read that only a high volume of reps in gymnastics can stunt your growth, im only aiming to do 2 or 3 gymnastic sessions per week,can someone confirm this for me? Most coaches I believe do not train high intensity static positions like iron cross and Maltese until the athletes is older because of the extreme stress on the joints.However as long as you progress in a smart way using coaches steady state cycles and appropriate intensity you should be fine.
