Hey guys,

i just recently got a cold, which normally means i can't train for about 1, sometimes 2 weeks. A couple of years ago i caught a very bad flu which kept me from training for about a month, and i noticeably lost some muscle.

How do you change your nutrition during the sick days? I obviously won't be having any PWO shakes or heavy post-training meals.

What do you guys do?

Thanx,

A.C.

I know it sucks, I also have a cold at the minute :( Really annoying as it's making my joints ache and I'm just recovering from tendonitis so I can't train in case it's not the cold but the tendonitis! I find if I gargle freshly squeezed lemon juice and take a couple of spoonfuls of honey a few times a day that this will get rid of any sore throat, blocked nose symptoms very quickly. I then generally try and increase my body temperature to burn off the flu, This can be quite unpleasant though.

Other than that I just take it easy and drink plenty of water and tea, normally not that hungry when I'm ill
