Svend
I've been wondering whether or not cooking in a microwave oven is a healthy approach? I know there's many different takes on this but I've never really worried about it since preparing veggies and some dishes simply is so much quicker and more convenient. I recently read Robb Wolf's "The Paleo Solution" and in one of his recipes he suggest NOT to microwave but doesn't really tell why. What's your take on this topic? gymgreg
Short answer : No, it is not bad.Detailed answer here: http://www.skepdic.com/emf.html"The photon energy of a cell phone EMF is more than 10 million times weaker than the lowest energy ionizing radiation" Ionizing radiation means: the photons have enough energy to break electron bonds in molecules.Same goes for a microwave. The calculations are not hard to do.I guess it's the word "radiation" that scares people. But people claiming that you shouldn't microwave your food, probably took a nap during their high school physics class. Svend
Thanks for that clarification, Gymgreg.. I've heard quite a few horror stories about microwave ovens which I had a quite hard time believing. But I'll keep using it then!
