Thigh muscles sore after planche tuck

My front thigh muscles, right below the hips, are always sore right after practicing my planche tuck, is this normal? I believe this is do to me squeezing my thigh muscles to bring my knees as close as possible to my chest because I obviously don't want them to touch the ground. Am I doing it correct?

also my Lats are sore as heck right after the planche tuck, but my shoulders don't get sore til tomorrow morning.

triangle this was funny....ok really funny.......but not very helpful....Thigh right below the hip or rather connecting the hip and the thigh are the hip flexors and they, well, flex the hips. So that would indeed be why they are sore (from bringing the legs close to the chest). I don't have too much planche experience but sore lats just indicate that you are using your lats so, unless I am wrong, can't be a bad thing. Shoulder are sore the day after due to DOM delayed muscle soreness. Honestly nobody still knows why this happens besides theories so no real answer there besides that DOM happens to muscles that are worked really hard.

HAHA. You must not be from the USA, you don't seem to get my tumor, I mean humor.

yes I live in CA and been here all my life. And yes I use humor but I was asking a serious question and was looking for a serious answer..

anyways, guess my sore thighs are normal

I don't have anything of significance to add, but this was a GREAT exchange. Chingyvang you could play a great straight man to Triangle's musings...
