Programming and WODS

Hello, my name is Steven, I am fairly new to BTGB and had a question regarding volume in workouts. I have a copy of BTGB and have read the section on programming, which basically leads me to believe I should be doing a pushing/pressing/legs/core and FSP workout every day. When I put all these things together it seems like I am trying to cover all the bases every day, while the WODS tend to separate things a little more (legs on a different day, push/press on another). My question is : Should I be doing more volume based on what the book tells me or just stick to the WODS? I hope this makes sense

P.S. By every day, I mean 4 times a week, my mistake.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt since I am WAY less experienced than some on forum.

I was doing my workout in a similar way to what the book recommends and having good results. Having said that, it seems like the general consensus is that the WODs are a more effective path. They incorporate a lot of stuff that I am assuming will be in the other books that coach releases like dynamic strength and ring routines. If you decide to role your own routine, a lot of people have used the killroy70 routine with success. You should also check the getting started stickies as they go over a lot of which exercises are prerequisite to which other exercises. This was not covered in the book.

Yes, this is correct. The GB WODs incorporate additional information from the forthcoming books that have not yet been released; while the recommended workouts in BtGB are confined to only the presented material.
