question about WODs

I have a question about the WODs. If everyone has to scale the WOD up or down depending on their current level of strength, then why does Coach even put the names of certain FBEs? For instance instead of saying "3x5 psuedo planche push ups", since everyone who does the WOD may either do the PPPs or a harder or easier progression, then why doesnt Coach just say "3x5 of an appropriate variation from the Pressing section of BtGB" (in a more concise way of course)?

To be honest I don't think it matters, it's nice the way it is because you see the name of an exercise and immediately you know which family it comes from. Also if it was just written "do 3x5 Multi plane pressing movements" people would end up chosing something wrong or ask "is this multi plane pressing or not?"

Why did I even bother trying to find a reason? what kinda question is that?

... perhaps because the most concise way is to do it the way Coach does it now?

Also (at least that's what I think) the WOD's give an idea of the structural balance you want to achieve, i.e., being able to do a certain pulling progression should go hand in hand with being able to do a certain pushing progression and you can only see that when you have a fully defined workout instead of just referring to exercise families.

Personally, I find it both humbling and motivating to see where I am, compared to what Coach expects of his own athletes :D
