Coach Sommer
PDjUyky-Los Brandon is the current 2010 Winter Cup Champion on the still rings. This video is an example of an advanced ring strength series. Two or three of these sets would in turn be coupled with more specific static work sets for a complete ring strength workout.Yours in Fitness,Coach Sommer

Razz
Wow, really good stuff, surprised there are no real holds involved; it's just pure dynamic stuff for the series at least.

Coach Sommer
He is being spotted by a legend.... Thats Bilozerchev helping him out.Good eye, Ido.Yes, that is indeed Dmitry Bilozerchev; the World Champion in both 1983 and 1987 as well as a multiple Gold Medalist in the 1988 Olympics. Dmitry is a very good coach with an encyclopedic knowledge of all things gymnastic and someone that I have been privileged to call a friend for a number of years now.Yours in Fitness,Coach Sommer
Joshua Naterman
WOW!!! That looks a lot like a competition routine without holds or swings. Pretty smart. Brandon makes it look easy!
Felipe
What's the reason behind this type of training? It's for transitions? Like making the body aware of every known position in gravity?
Coach Sommer
Once you have mastered the more advanced static positions individually, working on the transitions to and from the advanced static positions requires greater strength than simply holding the static positions themselves. As previously mentioned however, this does not replace the necessary static hold training on the advanced static positions which will be done following the ring strength series work.Yours in Fitness,Coach Sommer
