bobo
hey everyone, i am returning to training from a break this summer, but unfortunately will be moving around a great deal making a film in a foreign country, as such i won't have any equipment at all with me and am unsure what kind of workout i should be doing.when i was last working out i got as far as some double digit seconds in the second step of the planche progression and the front lever progressions, as well as being able to do 2-3 HeSPUs at a time. what is your advice?thank you so much, bobo
Joshua Naterman
Bring your rings and a set of adjustable bands like the ones lifeline fitness offers. Do GB work as time permits and band work like chest expander work (get these from Lifeline if you choose to get them at all) and do curls, push ups, etc with them for resistance training. And have fun filming!
bobo
the bands might be an option, i've never tried those before, but since i will be changing living location every 3 to 4 days, i can't bring rings - excess weight and i probably will not have a place to mount them in many of the people's houses/apartments i will be staying, do you have another suggestion? Blairbob
Rings don't way that much really unless they are metal. Just find a tree or anything to hang them on. So long as you can find something to hang on, you can do HLL and pullups. Work HS and what not on the floor. Because of short amount of time, you might only have enough time to do a quick WU and the GB WOD. You might still be able to fit in FSP(statics)+FBE(movements). I think it generally takes about 10m to do statics and just under 15m to do 3 sets of FBE's. This is with 7 rounds of statics with 1m rest periods (do BL, then PL, then FL, then straddle-L/manna and rest for 1m). FBE with 5m of rest (though 3-4 can work). You might have enough spare time to do some HS work. But doing the GB WOD might be a good idea since you wouldn't have to worry about going over 30m as most can be done in under that. Longshanks
Those iron gym pull-up bars would be ideal. They fit quickly onto about any door and loads of companies seem to have done copies of them for half the price (I got a one from the supermarket for 15quid). Lever and pulling work sorted!
