Overhead Pressing

Hello community, I had a question regarding Overhead Pressing. I wanted to know if your scapula is supposed to tilt posteriorly or anteriorly at the bottom of the press. Also should you be striving to elevate your shoulders as hard as you can at the top?

It depends on the goal, weightlifter never reaches full elevation, while if you press and reach the handstand you should press until full scapulae rotation. notice also that without a posterior tipping is impossible to reach full shoulder flexion.

Thanks for the response Alessandro. Why don't weightlifters reach full elevation? Is that posterior tilting at the top or bottom for full flexion?

THe posterior tilt is necessary to reach the full flexion. The weightlifter need to stack the body over head in a position that is relatively active,in order to do that they should avoid full elevation and scapulae rotation.
