Spartan300
This is a tough transition isn't it? how did the more advanced trainees handle it? It seems really hard to make sure there is no bend in the elbow at all. A lot of times you think your arm is dead straight but there's still that tiny bit of flex in there. Coach says in the book to make sure the arms are dead straight as if you are leaving that bit of flex in there it could hold you back in the long term because the elbow area is still taking a bit of the strain. This is assuming i'm not getting ahead of myself here, i currently can hold the frog for around 30+ secs and the only thing that limits me there is not strength but the elbows gradually sliding out of position. taedoju
well, planche leans help quite a bit with this transition, i mixed them up with frog stance i.e 20 x frog planche => planche leans x 3-4 s hold x 10 reps , 20s x frog planche hold -rest- repeat p.s another thing that helped, was trying to keep my legs and torso up using my muscles and use elbows and hands only as a bit of help - thinking like that helped me quite a bit
