Jacob Marks
Coach and Forum MembersI am experiencing a couple of issues with 6-9 year olds with maintaining a flat back at the while pressing at the point right before straddle handstand, or when they close there legs after doing a single leg handstand. This then cause hips movement then loss of balance and so on. I do a lot general back and stomach conditioning and body tightness drills, I was hoping to see what you thought about how to get your kids over the hump of being able to hold a 5 sec handstand or press up and maintain a hs for a couple seconds???? Any methods or ideas are greatly appreciated! I will soon try to put on a video here of this!Respectfuly Coach Marks
Gregor
I have a same problems with my kids at the same age. It's getting slightly better with HS drops back and forwards (to catch them) and with spotted piurets. But still it seems to me that progress is not good as it should be.
