Advanced Tuck Planche or Open Planche

Recommended Posts

Guest Christopher Bassett

Hello

I have seen on the forum people doing an advanced tuck planche with their legs open instead of closed. I think its called an open planche.
I tried this open planche out of curiosity and I find it easier than the advanced tuck.
Is this just an alternative for the advanced tuck?
Could I work the open planche until I get a 60 second hold and then move onto the straddle planche?

This version is very useful in order to build up the transition between tucked version and intermediate variation before the straddle version. especially for people who weights more or for who is more tall.

i completely agree with Alessandro. being tall, open tuck planche is a very good step towards the intermediate variation up to the straddle version.

Awesome thanks Alessandro and Leo, I will focus on this variation until I get a quality 60's hold.
With it being the transition from tuck planche do you mean the sequence goes:

Tuck -> Open Tuck -> Advanced Tuck -> Straddle
OR
Tuck -> Open Tuck / Advanced Tuck -> intermediate variation -> Straddle?

I thought the Advanced Tuck was the intermediate so that is why I am a little confused?

The intermediate variations are deeply discussed in the private foundation course forums.
