Tight Space Urban DIY Stall Bar: Typical vs Minimum gap between Stall Bar Rungs & Wall

The reason ask this is for a very space constrained small room in urban area - it needs to be as slim & close/ flushed to wall as possible.

Do suggest what are the typical gap distances {to center or surface of rung} and what's the minimum one should make.

The clearance in this seems more than typical - Most ready made Stall Bars probably follow some standard gap/ distance.

The gap is lesser here and the Rungs are more closer to wall - Stall bar Frame is Slimmer and more closely flushed to the wall.
