The are between the age of 6-9, and ALL of them have trouble with support on rings. They have the rings turned inwards as much as possible and still also have a slight bend in the arm. This ofcourse also costs a lot of points with competitions. I've tried to get them stronger by doing a lot of support in rings, sets of time, but that hasn't seemed to help. I'm thinking now maybe I should do dips with them, but I am not sure. So how can I get these boys develop more strength on the rings? Are dips good? braindx Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Work basic strength with themBody rows, pullups, dips, etc. Once they have a certain level of muscle strength & mass it makes rings supports much easier to learn.Supports anyhow are good even if you have to slightly assist them.
