Hello GB!

As you can tell, I am new here. I work in the health and fitness field, performing clinical rehab, designing and implementing exercise programs for both average joes and athletes. I am also gym strong. At 155lbs, I have been able to deadlift 465lbs, and have competed in Brazilian Jiut-Jitsu. And I have the added bonus of being hypermobile - the doctor calls it idiopathic benign hypotonicity - aka, "your ligaments tend to be much more lax compared to the average joes and no one really knows why, so we are diagnosing you with a complex sounding issue".

While working at different gyms and clinics for almost 7 years, I have seen many of my colleagues get injured, and thus become unable to work. We were all stupid strong, flexible in the wrong ways, and completely tight in the wrong ways. I started thinking outside the box, thinking there had to be a way to continue to build strength without developing all these common injuries I was seeing occur to my colleages and myself. I came across other movement experts which helped a lot, but lacked proper structure and progressions - as least in my humble opinion. Anywho, eventually I came across GB, through different podcasts.

As both a fitness enthusiast, and healthcare professional, I have been completely blown away by the programming and results that Coach Sommers programs deliver. In a very short amount of time, I have been able to eliminate SI/lumbar spine pain from a bad deadlift over a year ago, have seen a massive improvement in the health of my scapula (i have a winged scapula), my stability, and my motor control. My weight room strength has gone up (an extra 30lbs to the deadlift, and extra 40lbs to the bench) without training them. And perhaps even more importantly, some of my 'tough' clients have been able to feel muscles they have never felt before.

This is getting a little long now, but I just wanted to express my immense gratitude for what I have regained through GB. I have been referring everyone I know in the health and fitness field to check out GB.
